Local Area and Attractions

The nearby principle town on Vera has several large supermarkets and shops. There is a Saturday market selling a wide variety of goods.

Neighbouring Vera Playa is the fishing town of Garrucha, here you have a wide variety of fish restaurants, a must for seafood enthusiasts! Friday is market day where you can buy a large variety of local produce and goods.

A little further along the coast (about 10 KM) is the holiday resort of Mojacar Playa with a large selection of bars, restaurants and shops. A further few kilometers away, nestled in the hills, is the ancient town of Mojacar Pueblo. This is a Moorish village over 1,000 years old and is host to shops, restaurants and bars. The village has fantastic views across the surrounding countryside.

Further south now and we come to the nature reserve of Cabo De Gata which covers over 34,000 hectacres. Along the coastline you will discover an abundance of unspoilt coves and beaches.

Travel inland to the desert area of Tabernas and experience a day at 'Mini Hollywood' theme park which has been used for many spaghetti westerns such as 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. Cowboy shows are held throughout the summer season. Click on image to view more details.
